PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a frequency component processing unit which has filter characteristics in which a specific frequency component of an input signal has a desired pattern shape. SOLUTION: This frequency component processing unit 10 temporarily stores the input signal after A/D conversion, and after the signal is processed through the fast Fourier transformation of a fast Fourier arithmetic part 12, a coefficient representing filter characteristics of a desired frequency set by a coefficient setting means 13 is sent to the Fourier arithmetic part 12, in parallel to multiply the Fourier-transformed signal by the coefficient, so that the signal is processed by inverse Fourier transformation and then D/A conversion, and the resulting output signal is outputted.
