PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a cache memory in a processor. SOLUTION: A main storage part 104 stores constrol information such as instructions and data, supplies the control information to an instruction cache memory 102 and supplies data to a data cache memory 105 respectively through a memory interface 103. In normal processing, a processor operation part 100 is controlled by control information outputted from a processor control part 101 and processes data read out from the data cache memory 105. When image/ sound data are inputted from the external to the memory interface 103, tag data indicating the image/sound data are stored in a prescribed area of the data cache memory 105 and the proces-sor operation part 100 refers to the tag data and executes processing corresponding to the attribute of the tag data.
