PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly hold on a shield wire and generate certain electric continuity and connection to its shield layer and allow small-sized construction of a terminal metal fitting. SOLUTION: A barrel part 26 provided on a terminal metal fitting 20 is equipped with a pair of projections 27, which are positioned in dislocation in the longitudinal direction of a shield wire 10. When the barrel part 26 is caulked, tight attachment is made with a shield layer 13 to generate electric continuity and connection, and the projections 27 formed on the barrel part 26 bite into the shield wire 10 from the opposing sides so that the terminal metal fitting 20 is held by the shield wire 10. Because of dislocated arrangement of the projections 27 in the longitudinal direction of the shield wire 10, the core wire 11 can run off to the opposite side of the projections 27 even if the barrel part 26 is caulked strongly, and there is no risk that the core wire is constricted.
