PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely execute an incoming call rejecting function by starting communication only in the case only a signal indicating a communication start is detected after the detection of an off-hook in a telephone set. SOLUTION: When an opposite party specifies the non-informing of information or the like after judging received originating source information or the like, telephone sets TEL1-TEL3 immediately and automatically receive a call as against calling, transmit a voice message for requesting the information of a telephone number or the like and transmits the voice message indicating that response cannot be executed in case the calling is the one from the opposite party who is not previously registered in a RAM 5 or from which the incoming call is not permitted. During the transmission of the voice message or the like, a CML relay R is not closed even when a calling tone is transmitted from an opposite party side and facsimile communication is not started. That is, an operation for closing the line L is not executed while hook detecting parts OH1-3 detect a voice signal or the like except a signal indicating the communication start.
