PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube provided with a funnel cone part, which is liable to cause trouble in point of strength, is formed thick in the tube axis direction in the area between a deflection reference position and an inflection point. SOLUTION: A cathode-ray tube is provided with a panel 2, in which a screen is formed on the inside face, a funnel 10 connected to the panel 2 and provided with a deflection yoke arranged in a part of the outer circumferential face, and a neck part 8 connected to the funnel and provided with an electron gun 6 inserted and arranged on the inside. In the funnel 10, an outline of a cone part, in which the deflection yoke is arranged, so as to be gradually turned from a circular shape to a non-circular shape from the neck part side to the panel side. The cone part is formed so that a ratio of a diagonal thickness in the major axis directional thickness is set to be 1.03-1.21 between the inflection point and a deflection reference position.
