PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety and reliability of a control device by constantly monitoring pulse that are generated by an encoder, even if a motor is in a non-driven state and rapidly finds failures in a motor driver system. SOLUTION: In a motor control method, motor drivers 25 and 26 drive a motor according to a pulse train from a device controller, encoders 29 and 30 generate pulses according to the rotation of the motor, and the amount of rotation of the motor is controlled based on pulses from the encoders. In the motor control method, while the outputting of the pulse train from the device controller is at halt, the device controller monitors the presence or the absence of the generation of pulses from the encoders, to rapidly find the failures in the control device. |
