PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rise of a band width and the increase of power consumption without the need of providing a buffer memory for the processing of other data in the inside by processing other audio and AUX data or the like in the free period of not cyclically transferring data provided at the time of transferring image data. SOLUTION: Sync pulses A are generated in the cycle of 544 pieces of clocks whose upper limit is 50 Mbps and the data B of the variable length image of one slice are transferred in the respective cycles of the period of 512 clocks (bytes) at maximum. Thus, the free period of 544-512=32 clocks is cyclically present, one slice X is limited to be equal to or less than 512 bytes for the data B and enable signals C are generated in synchronism with the data B. In the free period of 32 clocks, the audio data and non-video data are processed by using a main memory in common to the image data. Thus, the transfer rate of the main memory to be instantaneously required is lowered and the power consumption and an internal memory are reduced.
