PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To edit video images in a single recording medium without overriding recorded existing video images by recording a video object, first and second program chain information for indicating the reproduction order, identification information and first and second cells for indicating the display start and end time in an optical disk. SOLUTION: Original and user defined PGC information specifies the entire section of the reproduction object of the video object and a reproduction section defined by a user from the entire section and is provided with cells #1- and cells #1A-. The cells #1- specify the entire section or partial section of the reproduction object of the cells #1- and the reproduction order and the cells #1A- further specify the entire section or the partial section for the section indicated by the cells #1-. The cells #1- and the cells #1A- are specified by the identification information recorded corresponding to the respective pieces of the PGC information and the display start and end time at the time of reproduction. Thus, the partial section to be the reproduction object desired to be video displayed is specified with high time accuracy.
