PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an arbitrary device to borrow electric power from its immediately upstream device in a redundant power segment when the power source of the device gets out of order, by providing a redundant power source at the topmost position of the redundant power segment and integrating one or a plurality of computer systems under the redundant power source. SOLUTION: When, for example, a device 16 gets out of order and the output of a power source 24 become 0.0 V, an electric current flows from the power source 22 of a device 14 to the device circuit 30 of the device 16 through an external DC output connector 40, a common power cable 62, an external DC input connector 36, and a diode 52, because the power source 24 does not work. At this point of time, the device circuit 30 of the device 16 borrows the 100% ability of the power source 22 of the device 14. Therefore, the device circuit 28 of the device 14 receives electric power from the power source 20 of a redundant power source 12 through the external DC output connector 46 of the power source 12, a common power cable 60, an external DC input connector 34, and a diode 48. |
