PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size stepping motor which has a small stepping angle, can generate a large torque and can rotate with a high speed revolution. SOLUTION: A stepping motor is composed of a rotor 14 including a magnet 14b, a stator 13 consisting of stator yokes 16a-16h and coils 17a-17d wound on a coil winding part and outer covering members 11 and 12 by which the stator yokes are held in an axial direction. The stator yoke of each phase is composed of a pair of stator yoke whose respective pole teeth arranged circularly are alternately geared with each other. One set of the stator yokes consists of the stator yokes of two phases. Even number sets of the stator yokes are provided. The two phases (a) and (b) and the two phases (c) and (d) of the respective sets are opposite to each other. The coils of the stator yokes of the two phases are connected in series to each other so as to generate magnetic fields in opposite directions to each other.
