PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the data processing unit to have conformity for each of a plurality of de-shuffling patterns different from each format. SOLUTION: Data that are shuffled and recorded are reproduced from a recoding medium, inner codes of which are corrected and resulting data are fed to a de-shuffling section 11. Based on a table stored in a RAM 14, de- shuffling in the unit of channels is conducted and the data are de-shuffled in the unit of SYNC blocks based on a table stored in a RAM 15. The de-shuffled data are stored in a synchronous dynamic RAM SD RAM 13. The data are read from the SD RAM 13 in the order of external code correction and external codes of the data are corrected by using RAMs 17A, 17B. The data whose external codes are coded are given to RAMs 18A-18H, where the rate of the data is converted, the result is given to an AIF block 20, where the data are converted into serial data for each channel and the serial data are outputted. The processing unit can flexibly cope with a plurality of de-shuffling patterns by rewriting contents of the RAMs 14, 15.
