PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and also accurately recognize the characteristics of an object and whether it is good or bad on a displayed image. SOLUTION: A selector 20 switches either a moving image obtained by continuously picking up the image of an object or an edge image obtained through an edge extraction circuit 19 and outputs it to an arithmetic circuit 22. A memory 21 preliminarily stores an image for one picture which is obtained by picking up the image of an object model or its edge image as a reference image. The circuit 22 generates a difference extraction image representing characteristics corresponding to difference between an inputted image and the reference image according to operation processing using the both images and outputs it. The outputted image data is outputted to a monitor through a D/A conversion circuit. |
