<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATM multiplexer that corrects cell traffic so as to match it with a required traffic parameter without necessitating a shaping buffer memory. SOLUTION: This ATM multiplexer is provided corresponding to each input line and is provided with a plurality of input buffer memories 2a-2x that tentatively store a cell in a communication frame from each input line, an output buffer memory 6 that outputs a cell multiplexed by tentatively storing cells sequentially read from a plurality of the input buffer memories, and a multiplex control section 4 that reads the cell in each input buffer memory and writes the cells to the output buffer memory in a timing which is matched with a prescribed traffic parameter.</p> |
