PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve troubles regarding whether or not a free-service guaranteed period has expired and to lower the cost needed to repair a product whose free guaranteed period has expired by automatically storing date information needed to confirm the service guarantee period when the product is used for the 1st time after purchased. SOLUTION: As a stage for setting an initial value, date data Ds regarding the first use day of the product as one of pieces of service information is initially set to 'O' and stored in a specific address of a memory 108. It is judged whether or not an instruction issued by user's key operation through a key input part 109 is inputted to a control part 107. The date data Ds stored in the specific address of the memory 108 is read out and it is judged whether or not the data is 'O'. When the Ds value is 'O', the control part 107 extracts only current date data Dp from broadcast program data inputted from a demodulation part 106. The current date data Dp is stored in the specific address of the memory 108 stored with the date data Ds.
