PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the data acquiring method which can impart high display capability to even a small-sized system like a data base of a large-sized system. SOLUTION: When a representative code is inputted to a 1st device, the inputted code is converted into an encoded code string (1-1) and matched against a data base on a 1st device according to a check list to find the data that the encoded code string specifies (1-2); when the data is found, the 1st device acquires the data (1-3). When the data is not found, a 2nd device different from the 1st device is connected to find the data specified according to the encoded code string (1-4) and the found data is transmitted to a temporary storage area provided on the 1st device (1-5). The 1st device introduces the data in the temporary storage area and makes a display based upon the data (1-6). |
