PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter for a terminal where much device connection configuration is allowed to have without provision of excess ports in advance. SOLUTION: The transmitter for a terminal has ports P13, P14 to which devices generating information connect, reads the information from the device connecting to the ports, the read information is processed in response to a kind of the devices and transmits the processed signal to a remote center device. A plurality of processing means 120a-1, 120a-2 process the information from the devices of a different kind. A selection information hold means 120c11 provided corresponding to any of the ports stores selection information variably to select any of a plurality of the processing means by a selection means 120a-3. A setting data storage means 120c1 provided corresponding to any of the ports stores setting data required for the processing by a plurality of the processing means.
