摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anode substrate for an electric field emission type display and a manufacturing method thereof for improving a contrast ratio without any deterioration in luminance of a screen and for increasing purity of a color so as to provide excellent display quality (visibility) in the anode substrate constituting an electric field emission type display. SOLUTION: In an anode substrate for an electric field emission type display, a cathode substrate, in which cold cathodes are arranged, and the anode substrate, in which an anode electrode 21 and a phosphor layer 22 are arranged, are arranged opposedly to each other. In the anode substrate provided with the anode electrode 21, a color filter 23, and the phosphor layer 22, the color filter 23 is arranged closer to the anode substrate 20 side than the phosphor layer 22.
