PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cards from being dually inserted by recognizing card insertion before a user inserts a card. SOLUTION: When the loading of a card C to a mounting table 10 is completed, the flat part of a cam roller 11 becomes horizontal to the card C and the shielding part 25b of a sliding member 25 closes an opening part 13 into which the card C is inserted completely. Even though the table 10 is made to move in the direction orthogonally crossing a card information track along guiding shafts 17 and 18 to be shifted to a prescribed recording and reproduction operation when a command for recording and reproduction comes from a host controlling system of the device, another card C can not be inserted because the part 13 is closed by the part 25b even if a user tries to insert the card C from the outside in this case.
