PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal adaptor that can change a protocol conversion mode of communication data for each data communication and to provide the communication data conversion method for the terminal adaptor. SOLUTION: This terminal adaptor has a main body device 22 that is provided with an antenna 10 that sends/receives a radio wave of a slave set such as a telephone set in common use of PHS, a radio section 12 that demodulates and amplifies the received radio wave, a selector section 14 that separates data into communication data and control data, a control section 16 that receives the control data to control each section, a protocol conversion section 18 that converts a protocol of the communication data based on the control information received by the control section 16, and an INS interface 20 that makes dialing based on information from the control section and transmits communication data from the protocol conversion section 18 to a provider or the like via an INS channel.
