PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance precision of channel estimate with respect to a channel estimate device used for a DS-CDMA radio communication unit that conducts synchronization detection through channel estimate employing a pilot signal. SOLUTION: An arithmetic circuit 201 obtains a difference between a channel estimate value of a known reference signal sent from an antenna A of a base station and a channel estimate value of a communication channel signal sent from the antenna of the base station and a difference between a channel estimate value of a known reference signal sent from an antenna B of the base station and a channel estimate value of a communication channel signal sent from the antenna of the base station. A comparator circuit 202 receives the differences of the channel estimate values, where the both are compared. The result of comparison is fed to a discrimination circuit 203. The discrimination circuit 203 discriminates the result of comparison based on a threshold value. A transmission antenna transmitting the communication channel signal is estimated based on the discrimination according to the threshold value. A weight arithmetic circuit 204 obtains a weight coefficient based on the result of comparison and the result of discrimination.
