PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sufficient linearity characteristic and a sufficient angle characteristic dependent on COSθ, and to aim at cost reduction. SOLUTION: This photoelectric tube has such a formation that a photoelectric surface 5 is arranged adjacently to a light incident face plate 2, and that an arrival rate of the light entering the light incident face plate 2 obliquely on the photoelectric surface 5 is improved compared with a conventional way in which the photoelectric surface 5 is separated from the light incident face plate 2, and such a formation that, in addition to a photo-electron collecting electrode 10 installed between the light incident face plate 2 and the photoelectric surface 5, a translucent conductive film 9 is installed on the light outlet face of the light incident face plate 2, and that the translucent conductive film 9 is made to work as an anode and to have the same potential as the photo-electron collecting electrode 10, and that the translucent conductive film 9 having roughly the same photo-electron collecting condition as the photo-electron collecting electrode 10 is placed on the light incident face plate 2 side of the photo-electron collecting electrode 10, to thereby enable to collect excellently photo- electrons from the photoelectric surface 5 on both the electrode 10 and the conductive film 9, and additionally such a formation that the formation of wiring or the like is simplified by making the electrode 10 and the conductive film 9 have the same potential.
