PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process an image captured by a hand-held image capturing device therein. SOLUTION: The image capturing device includes an internal memory 64 stored with image data 74 and a program code 70. The program code 70 includes a page acquisition module 78 processing the image data 74. The image data are captured in strokes while being overlapped. When an image is restored, the areas of overlapping images are detected as redundant image data and removed. A bar chart is displayed as a symbol (metaphor) showing the progress of an image data processing carried out in an instrument 22. The bar chart is superposed on the outline of a traced capturing path. The image which is captured most recently is displayed pushing aside images which are already captured and a user confirms the image on a confirmation picture and makes a choice of whether it is discharged.
