PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the torsional vibration of the shaft line and avoid the resonance phenomena, by equipping a generator with a rotational damper which suppresses the rotational speed change of a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: This power generator 1 is equipped with a rotational damper 9 which absorbs the rotational speed change of a rotary shaft 7, and when it is supplied with steam from a boiler device or the like, the energy of steam is converted into rotational energy with a gas turbine 3. Then, the rotor of a power generator 8 whose rotational speed change is regulated with a rotational damper 9 is rotated after the rotational speed of rotational energy is decelerated with a speed reducer 6, and obtained power is supplied to a semiconductor power converter, but the peak gain of the machine system can be lowered because the rotational damper 9 is attached to the rotary shaft 7 of a power generator 3. Hereby, the occurrence of resonance phenomena can be avoided by suppressing the torsional line even when the combination between the generator and the fixed power load is not in ideal relation.
