PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep commutator pieces against the main body of a commutator, covering the overall length, by forming juts, which jut out in the circumferential direction of the commnutator piece, adjacently at the thick part at the inside peripheral face where the hook claws of the armature piece are cut and erected. SOLUTION: A plurality of commutator pieces 14 are arranged at equal intervals on the side of outside periphery of the main body 12 of a commutator, and they are molded integrally to the commutator body 12 by a mold, and the adjacent commutator pieces 14 are insulated and separated from one another by the slits 15 being made by lapping. Moreover, two middle claws 21, which are cut and erected from both ends to the center and further are bent, are made at the center in circumferential direction of the inside peripheral face of each armature piece 14, and the marks 22 and 23 of middle claw processing which are recessed more than both ends in circumferential direction are made at the center in circumferential direction of the inside peripheral face, and both sides are made thick parts 24. Then, at the thick parts 24, done tail parts 25 as juts are made on both sides in circumferential direction. Hereby, the armature pieces can be held surely by the commutator body, covering the overall length, by means of the middle claws and the dove tail parts.
