PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform easier integrated management by relating the various kinds of video accompanying information for respective hierarchies by a tree structure to information provided with various abstraction degrees and relating the information in close contact with the flow of video images with the tree structure of an M-icon displayed at the time of editing. SOLUTION: The M-icons 1001-1005 in a lowest layer indicate video data themselves. To them, the explanation information of the lowest abstraction degree in a concept is related. In one higher layer, for instance, the M-icons 1001 and 1002 are connected and the M-icon 1011 is formed. It is one scene composed of two raw video data and the explanation information of the scene is related. Similarly thereafter, to the M-icon 1031 of a highest layer, the explanation information for indicating the entire program and target information are related. Since video information is structured and displayed, video accessory information is finely and unitarily managed and the accessory information is not scattered and lost.
