PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a frame part of an assembly composed of a cathode-ray tube panel and a shadow mask body structure, which is capable of using a large-sized shadow mask even if a size of the cathode-ray tube panel remains same, or is capable of expanding a cathode-ray tube effective screen by enlarging an orbit angle of an electron beam. SOLUTION: In a color cathode-ray tube, a skirt part 20b of a shadow mask 20 is mounted on an end 30b of a frame 30 extending from a flange part 30a through a stepped part 30c, and a shadow mask body structure 10 having a spring 6 welded to an outer peripheral surface of the frame 30 is inserted into a cathode-ray tube panel 5 with a stud pin 7 protruded inward from a periphery part and a fluorescent film formed inside, the stud pin 7 is engaged with the spring 6, and the shadow mask body structure 10 is positioned and fixed in the panel 5. In the color cathode-ray tube, the periphery of the end 30b of the frame 30 is formed to have a protruding section toward the panel 5, a side of the frame end 30b is made as a welding part to the shadow mask skirt part 20b, and a base part on the side of the frame flange 30a is made as the welding part to the spring 30.
