PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to surely read data within a limited reading time by reducing a rotating speed of a disk at the time of rewriting while corresponding to a remaining time of a reading time limit. SOLUTION: A reproduction controller 12 counts an elapsed time T after receiption of a reproducing command from a host computer 6, and the less a remaining time Tn subtracting the elapsed time T from a predetermined limit time Ts becomes, the slower a rotating speed to be set for the reproducing controller 12 which has received a retry instruction, is set. Thus, it is possible to respond to high-speed data processing at the host computer side by finishing data reading within a regulated time.
