PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recorder capable of normal operation even in a reserved recording standby state, and capable of surely the reserved recording on a disk loaded at the time of setting a reservation while warning a user thereon at a time of disk loading different from that of the set reservation recording. SOLUTION: This optical disk recorder is provided with a reservation record setting means 10, a disk discrimination information writing means 4 for recording the information on an optical disk 1 at the time of setting a reservation recording, a storage means 7 for storing the disk discrimination information with the reservation record setting information, a control means 6 which permits normal operation such as reproducing, recording, ejecting, etc., during the reservation record standby state or inhibits operations other than operation for releasing this reservation record standby state, a disk discrimination information reading means 5, and a notifying means 8 for giving various information and warnings. Here, the control means compares the discrimination information on a currently loaded optical disk with the discrimination information on the optical disk loaded when the reservation record setting information was set, and controls the notifying means 8 for giving the warning when the comparison result does not agree, and inhibits other operations than the operation for canceling the reservation record standby state when agreed.
