PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect edition processing only in desired edition data and to facilitate the edition work by setting a change region of the edition data and using this region as edition material. SOLUTION: A system control section 4 operates VTRs 14A to 14D to make reproduction in accordance with the command C1 from a computer 3 and displays the data on a display 12. A disk control section 10 fetches the data and records the data on a disk 12 according to the command of the system control section 4. When an operator manipulates a mouse 13 and adds the edition input of insertion or deletion by selectively assigning and clipping the desired track from the time line track of an edition list forming section displayed on the screen of the graphic user interface GUI of the computer 3, the GUI moves another clip while maintaining its original relation and inserts or deletes the clip for edition into or from the selected and assigned track. The selected assignment state is recognized by subjecting the selectively assigned track to a prescribed coloring.
