PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a head device and to improve the guide of a recording carrier by providing a cut part for storing a multi-track head and an adjusting means for adjusting, and fixing this head to a running mechanism chassis after the head is arranged to the cut part. SOLUTION: Multi-track heads 11a, 11b are supported by protruding parts 21a, 21b of a conical shape arranged at vertical inside walls of cut parts 18a, 18b, two projecting parts 22a, 22b; 23c, 22d of the notch parts, and spring elements 23a, 23b surrounding this multi-track head by only the half. This conical shape protruding part is engaged with a multi-track head on the side, two projecting parts are engaged with the upper side of the multi-track head, tension is kept by forming the spring element conically. And, supporting is performed so that force is applied to the multi-track head in parallel and vertical to the running direction 9 of the recording carrier 2 by tension of the spring element.
