PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain media data of various data formats by providing a conversion mechanism for data formats of media data. SOLUTION: A data conversion mechanism 2 is provided with an input terminal fetching reproduced data outputted from an electronic camera, a video camera, a cassette tape recorder, etc., which are brought by a user and is also provided with a recording part that records the reproduced data on recording media such as a video tape, a minidisk and a CD-ROM. When the user inserts a coin, selects a recording medium being a recording object, connects a reproducing device to an automatic vending machine 1 and starts reproduction, the automatic vending machine 1 converts the data format of the reproduced data into the data format of record data and starts a recording operation to the recording medium being the recording object. And when the reproduction of the reproducing device is completed and the recording to the recording medium being the recording object is finished, the recording medium on which the recording is finished is discharged to the merchandise taking out opening of the automatic vending machine 1.
