METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONNECTING NON-CONNECTED TERMINAL TO PACKET SWITCHING NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a terminal to a packet network by judging whether a required terminal is connected to the packet network or not, and in the case of non-connection with the packet network, converting the telephone number sorted name of the terminal into an IP address and connecting a telphone to the converted IP address. SOLUTION: When a transmitting terminal 31 requests connection with a receiving terminal 34, a gate keeper 32 cannot communicate with the terminal 34 because the keeper 32 has the static information of the terminal 34 but has no IP address in dynamic information. Thereby the keeper 32 requests a remote connection server 33 for providing telephone connection service to connect the terminal 34 to a packet network 30 by using a telephone number to be the static information of the terminal 34. The terminal 34 connected to the network 30 receives the allocation of an IP address, registers dynamic information in the keeper 32 and is turned to a receiving waiting state. The keeper 32 connects the terminal 34 to the terminal 31 requesting the connection.
