PREFERENTIAL RESERVATION SCHEDULING SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preferential reservation scheduling system which reserves scheduling of a switch beforehand and enables quality of service (QoS) to be guaranteed to a traffic which is of high priority such as a telephone voice and whose pattern is predictable by connection information. SOLUTION: Input ports 1a and 1b detect reservation destination output ports 4a and 4b of a high priority traffic by signaling and notifies a scheduler 2 of it. The scheduler 2 preferentially sets switch connection which passes the traffic of high priority in each time slot and allocates remaining switch connection to a best effort traffic. The scheduler 2 outputs a permission signal to the input ports 1a and 1b and outputs a set signal to a switch 3 when the switch connection is decided.
