PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an image pickup device for a moving picture by using a color filter that is divided into a plurality of color areas, includes a part where a filter is present and areas at least one of which indicates an achromatic color so as to prevent occurrence of an abnormal image separated in colors through addition of erroneous color fields due to movement of a sight line of the display device for color indication in time division. SOLUTION: A red area 25, a green area 26 and a blue area 27 are sequentially displayed in time division in one field by rotating a color filter having at least one achromatic area 28 at the revolutions of 3600 r.p.m or over, and each color image is displayed overlappingly in a time causing an after-image to human eyes. In the case of receiving a black/white image as a signal, the color filter is stopped at a position 28 at which the color filter passes the signal achromatically to display the image.
