PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the facsimile terminal like a facsimile server where a degree of freedom of write of transfer instruction information included in an electronic mail is considerably increased in the case of requesting transfer of a facsimile message by the electronic mail from other communication terminal. SOLUTION: A facsimile transmission designated character string M22 denoting information required for facsimile transmission such as a telephone number of facsimile destination is written not in a header M1 of an electronic mail M but in a main text (message section M2), and in the case of receiving the electronic mail M in this way, the message section M2 is referenced to read the character string and based on the read result, the electronic mail M is converted into a form possible for facsimile transmission and it is transmitted.
