PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To batch the control of switching controlling parts of the entire switching hubs and network management by allowing a CPU to control the switching controlling part of a connected opposite side switching hub and also to collect network information from the port of the opposite side switching hub. SOLUTION: In the switching hubs 10a and 10b, CPU buses 56a and 56b are connected to connection interfaces 12a and 12b, and transfer is performed to the other switching hubs through a connection cable 11. Then, it is possible to perform the initialization of a switching controlling part 50 by a CPU 53, the control of the part 50 and the collection of network information such as the number of frame transmissions and receptions of each port of the part 50 about the whole switching hub 10 connected by a connection interface 12. Thus, it is possible to manage the entire switching hubs connected by the connection interface as one switching hub as a whole.
