PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a required memory capacity is increased in the case of storing media access control MAC address requiring 6 bytes per one company to a memory and sharing the address to a specific terminal upon the receipt of a data packet. SOLUTION: A storage structure of MAC addresses has a maker code cross reference table where a maker code needing 3-byte and 1-byte correspondent code per one company in total 256 companies are assigned and an individual address part where a correspondent code in 1 byte per one terminal, an individual code in latter half 3-byte of the MAC address and a port number identifier in n-byte are assigned. In order to collate a MAC address, a maker code extracted from a header of a data packet is collated with the maker code correspondence table and when a coincident maker code is in existence through this collation, an individual code is collated through the coincidence of the correspondent code to send a data packet to the corresponding port.
