PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide another easier method for estimating a frequency offset generated by a transmission medium. SOLUTION: This system is a transmission system which mediates a transmission medium and has the possibility to occur frequency offset and attenuation between at least the transmitter and at least the receiver and, in this system, a transmitter has a radiation means for radiating a sign wave signal of a known frequency and a receiver has a reception means for receiving the sign wave signal and an estimation means for estimating a frequency offset from the receiver sign wave signal. In this case, the estimation means is constituted so that it has a sampling means for sampling the received sign wave signal, a phase shift means 30 for generating a sample that Π/2+p.2Π phase shifts the received sign wave signal (p indicates an integer here), first calculation means 34 and 35 for calculating the attenuation from the two phase shifted samples, at least two phase shifted samples and a second calculation means 37 for calculating the frequency offset by the calculated attenuation. |
