PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform channel setting in the shortest path between each node by equipping an optical fiber where a second round provided in a helical shape has a length accessible from all the nodes and a branch/ insertion means for branching and inserting the optical signal between nodes accessing an optical fiber of the helical shape and itself. SOLUTION: A helical shape wavelength multiple ring network is composed of an optical fiber 1 provided up to a second round in a helical shape clockwise from outside to inside, nodes 2-1 to 2-4 different in reception bands, optical couplers 3-1 to 3-4 for inserting an optical signal in the first round of the optical fiber 1 and optical couplers 4-1 to 4-4 which branch an optical signal from the second round of the optical fiber 1 and input them to the nodes 2-1 to 2-4. Thus, it is possible to provide channels between arbitrary nodes without interruption of the optical signal by performing only insertion of the optical signal to the first round of the optical fiber 1 and branching the optical signal from the second round onward. |
