摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent reproducing characteristics of a magnetic head comprising metallic magnetic films, by giving to each metallic magnetic film the composition represented through a specific formula, and by making each metallic magnetic film thermally stable and have high permeability. SOLUTION: On one side of a substrate 1 made of a nonmagnetic material, a metallic magnetic film 2 to be a magnetic core is formed by such a vacuous thin-film forming method as sputtering to obtain a rectangular-strip-form core substrate 3. Then, by laminating the plurality of rectangular-strip-form core substrates 3 with the formed metallic magnetic films 2 and by joining them to each other, the core substrates 3 are integrated with each other to form a magnetic core substrate. This magnetic core substrate is cut in the core- substrate laminating direction to form a pair of block-form magnetic-core half- bodies having a mutually nearly symmetric property. In this case, the metallic magnetic film 2 has the composition represented by the formula of CoxNbyTazZrw (x+y+z+w=100, 79<=x<82, 11<=y<=14, 2<=z<=4, 3<=w<5 [at %]). Thereby, the wrong effect received from a heat treatment (about 510 deg.C) performed in the case of a glass filling can be eliminated.
