PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal, where management of personal information is not required and a channel is connected by using the personal information with the highest efficiency and to provide its control method. SOLUTION: Plural pieces of personal information are registered corresponding to one index corresponding to a destination and a communication system using personal information corresponding to the personal information is registered. When a desired index is selected and dialing is made, the personal information registered in the index corresponding to one communication system selected corresponding to a communication environment among plural communication systems is selected, and the selected personal information is used to make line connection to the destination by using the selected communication system.
