PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce influence of electric and electromagnetic noises, prevent deformation of a contact, etc., with an external force and also a shortcircuit, and hinder a plug from slipping off from a receptacle. SOLUTION: In addition to a conventional receptacle 100 and plug 200, a connector is furnished with a shield plate 300 formed from an electroconductive magnetic substance in such a way as covering the receptacle 100 and plug 200 and held fast on a printed circuit board in connection with its ground wiring 521. The shield plate 300 is furnished at its oversurface plate 310 with an insert hole 311 to admit intrusion of a projection 213 on the plug 200 when it 200 is inserted into the receptacle 100.
