PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio signal processor at a low cost with low power consumption, where a multi-channel compressed audio signal is expanded and pseudo stereophonic sound processing is applied to the expanded signal so as to output two channel audio signals. SOLUTION: An unpacking circuit 221 of an audio decoder 202 unpacks a compressed audio signal 201 to generate a frequency area sample 222, a synthesis filter 223 is used to convert the sample into a time region, pseudo- stereophonic sound processing is applied thereto to provide an output of a multi-channel audio signal 203. An adder circuit 227 sums channels of the multi- channel audio signals 203 to provide 2-channel audio signals 206. Since the pseudo-stereophonic sound processing has already been applied to the multi-channel audio signal 203, the pseudo-stereophonic sound effect is realized without provision for a filter circuit for the pseudo-stereophonic sound processing. |
