PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a characteristic measuring device for a color selecting mechanism of a cathode-ray tube, capable of measuring, quantitatively and automatically, swing characteristics of the color selecting mechanism of the cathode-ray tube. SOLUTION: This characteristic measuring device for a color selecting mechanism of a cathode-ray tube, has a mislanding quantity measuring device 102 as a mislanding quantity measuring means for measuring the quantity of mislanding of a cathode-ray tube, and a swing characteristic measuring device 105 as a characteristic measuring means for measuring the characteristics of the color selecting mechanism based on a change of the mislanding quantity of the cathode-ray tube.
