PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the switching loss of a step-up type DC-DC converter. SOLUTION: A step-up type DC-DC converter has a resonance reactor 10 inserted between one end of a DC power supply 1 and one of the main terminals of a main switching device 2, a series circuit comprising 1st and 2nd auxiliary circulation rectifiers 11 and 12 and is connected between the connection point of the resonance reactor 10 and the main switching device 2, and the connection point of a main circulation rectifier 3 and a smoothing capacitor 5, a resonance capacitor 8 which is connected between the connection point of the series circuit of the 1st and 2nd auxiliary circulation rectifiers 11 and 12 and the connection point of the main circulation rectifier 3 and the resonance reactor 10, a circulation current rectifier 13 which is connected between the connection point of the resonance reactor 10 and a resonance capacitor 4 and the other main terminal of the main switching device 2 and a control circuit 7, which applies a main control pulse signal to the control terminal of the main switching device 2. A step-up reactor 4 is connected in series between the DC power supply 1 and the resonance reactor 10, and in series to a load 6.
