FIELD: inorganic chemistry, refractory materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of refractory inorganic compounds that can be used for production of structural ceramics and refractory materials. Silicon nitride has alpha-phase in the amount above 96 wt.-%. Content of fibrous particles is 80 wt.-%, not less. Fiber length is from 10 mcm. Specific surface is 7-10 m2/g. Product has the following ratio of components, wt.-%: free silicon, 0.1-0.25; nitrogen, 38.5-39.2; oxygen, 1.0-1.2. EFFECT: increased content of alpha-phase. 1 tbl
