FIELD: microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of cytorefractometric assay of microorganisms and can be used for urgent determination of relative content of living cells in different materials at stages of preparing vaccines used against glanders and for vital morphological study of different strains of glanders pathogens. Suspension of glanders microorganisms is diluted with 0.15 M phosphate buffer, pH 6.9-7.0, containing 1% of glucose and 0.1% of glycerol.
