FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has protective funnel 10 containing first axial end 11, second axial end and folds 15 between then which ensure elastic deformation. First end 11 coupled to supporting device 12 serves for resting on fork of universal joint. Second axial end has hollow cylindrical fastening section 14 with bore 17. Supporting ring 23 is mounted for rotation about axis 8. It is intended for resting on double fork and positioned in protective funnel 10. Supporting ring 23 includes guiding ring 18 arranged coaxially around supporting ring 23 and between its external bearing surface 26 and internal surface 19 of protective funnel 10. Guiding ring is mounted for shifting with its internal guiding surface 28 along external bearing surface 26 of supporting ring 23 in direction of rotational axis 8. Device ensures reliable protection of rotary parts of double universal joint with spider at shaft bend value of up to 80 deg. EFFECT: higher reliability of protection. 5 cl, 3 dwg
