PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of the trail end of a guide rail when sliding of a sliding door is regulated by a fully opened stopper in simple constitution without any increase in number of parts and the operation time, whereby a roller is prevented from slipping off the guide rail. SOLUTION: In this sliding door device having a fully opened stopper 6 provided near the rear end of an upper rail 1, with which a roller 4 collides at the fully opened position of the sliding door to regulate sliding of the sliding door, a metallic core material 6 provided on the fully opened stopper 6 is provided to overlap the outside of the car at the rear end of the upper rail 1 in the car width direction.
