PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water and oil repellent capable of manifesting durability without problems about working environments by including a copolymer containing polyfluoroalkyl group-containing acrylates, epoxy group-containing acrylates and a copolymerizable monomer. SOLUTION: This water and oil repellent is obtained by diluting a composition comprising a copolymer containing (A) a polymerization unit of an acrylate or a methacrylate having a polyfluoroalkyl group, (B) a polymerization unit having epoxy group and represented by the formula [R1 is H or methyl; A and Q are each a 1-20C alkylene; (x) is an integer of 1-20; A may be one kind or two or more kinds when (x) is >=2] and (C) a polymerizable monomer selected from vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, an alkyl (meth)acrylate and a cycloalkyl (meth)acrylate with water. The resultant water and oil repellent is capable of manifesting excellent durability without problems about working environments.
